Classrooms and Beyond
WE LOVE TEACHERS.
Teaching is the profession that makes every other possible. That’s why we listen to teachers and look for meaningful ways to support them, their students, classrooms and their ongoing growth.
Teachers deserve more than our gratitude. They deserve the resources and time to focus on what matters most: teaching and inspiring students, not worrying about budgets. Too many educators still spend their own money on basic classroom essentials. That’s not right. When Wisconsin teachers post their classroom needs on DonorsChoose.org, we pay attention and step in to help.
But materials are only part of the picture. Teachers also need high-quality training and systemic support to deliver instruction effectively. That’s why we are building the Milwaukee Reading Coalition—a citywide collaboration ensuring every K5 through third-grade educator has access to consistent, evidence-based professional development grounded in the Science of Reading, so every child builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Learning itself takes many forms. Sometimes it’s about having the right technology or curriculum. Sometimes it’s about stepping beyond the classroom walls. Each year, we are proud to help several thousand Wisconsin students travel to Washington, D.C., where they explore civics, leadership, responsibility, and, most importantly, themselves.
From classroom projects to professional development to transformative learning journeys, we are committed to giving teachers and students the tools, training, and inspiration they need to thrive today and for years to come.
